With temperatures expected in the 90's this holiday weekend, finding a festive snack to cool down with might be just the perfect thing.

As many of us will not have a show of fireworks this year, finding other ways to celebrate the weekend are in order. We found this red, white, and blue parfait recipe and it seems to be a refreshing, healthy, and safe tasty treat to enjoy (while socially distancing) with family and friends this 4th of July weekend (or any other time of your choosing!).
The berries in this sweet treat are loaded with antioxidants, high in fiber, and provide many nutrients. The yogurt can be high in protein, calcium, vitamins (and live cultures or probiotics depending on the yogurt) and the whipped topping adds a little extra sweetness for flavor. Making this desserts ahead of time in separate containers can allow people to grab one and stay 6 feet apart while relishing in the company they share them with. If you aren't able to spend time with others, this still may be a spirited item to celebrate with from afar.
